Second stage: The case structure


The whole structure is screwed and glued together with screws of the type “giproc”. Then I begun the assembling it; a draft of case was born.


For the side panels, I used 1.5cm thick plywood for the right sided panel and two panels much thinner for the left one. This is in order to create edges of 6 mm in the panel’s opening in order to position the window flush on the same level as the external surface.


Here is the first panel. I wanted a simple cutting for the window but one which followed the general shape of the case.


And the second one with a 8mm larger cutting which thus creates the edge which will be useful to fix the window on the case.


Both panels with the edge are screwed with the same screws used for the main structure.
